Singlutionary’s Time to Waste

by singlutionary

Being able to sit down this afternoon and start working on the transition between blogger and wordpress is a gift. Of course I never see it that way. Instead I am mad at myself for not doing 16 other things like bargain shopping at Goodwill for a much needed wardrobe enhancement or fixing up my resume or running with my dog. I am focused on all the things that aren’t done.

Spending time alone adds up especially if you’re an introvert: Alone time is cumulative when it comes to recharging your batteries. And after having so little alone time for so so long, it took many days of unproductiveness to feel up to writing again.

So even though I didn’t get close to conquering my “to-do” list for today, I did something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time but haven’t had the soul to put forth.

And no, I’m not even close to being done preparing this site to take over for the old, but I was able to set the wheels in motion.

Spending time by myself doing nothing gets me to the point where I can begin to be productive and spirited again. And so very soon I hope to get the wheels in motion (literally) on my car and all of her little nuts and bolts with need some sweet love and attention.

  1. I continue to battle between spending us time and needing me time. I find I need less and less as I become more open and vulnerable with sharing with others. But choosing WHO to share, and HOW to NOT share and remain grounded, yet flexible…that is a daily prayer and focus.

    • Yes, it is a daily challenge! I love spending time with the people close to me but I also need to make sure I spend time with myself. Certain work activities wear me out more than other ones do!!
